JENICA BRAXTON, Marriage and Family Therapy Intern

My name is Jenica Braxton, and I am an aspiring Marriage and Family Therapist currently completing my graduate studies at National University. I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate growth, healing, and life transitions. I feel most connected to my purpose when I am walking alongside others, offering care, encouragement, and support in their personal and relational journeys.

I believe that people already possess the insight and strengths needed to create meaningful change in their lives. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, grounded in empathetic listening and gentle reflection. I work with clients to thoughtfully explore patterns that may no longer serve them while helping them reconnect with their strengths and unique qualities.

Alongside my clinical training, I bring over 13 years of experience in education, having served as an adjunct educator, curriculum coach, senior instructor, and program management specialist. This background has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, anticipate needs, problem-solve effectively, and work collaboratively within team-centered environments.

I look forward to creating a supportive, respectful space where individuals, couples, and families feel seen, heard, and empowered to move forward with confidence.

If you do not have Aetna, BCBS, or Cigna/Evernorth there are self pay options: Self pay prices are based on which therapist you see and range from $100- 200 per session. Protocol calls for at least two sessions a month in order for progress to be made. What does your budget for therapy look like?

Months of EMDR is not fun, but Ashlea guided me through this treatment for my PTSD with confidence, grace, and support necessary for my success. I cannot say enough about the progress I've made with her help. I would choose her again and again for all my mental health needs.
